ScubaTroopers Dive Club - Club Introduction
The philosophy behind the club is all about just having fun and diving. It is an independent club and as such is not affiliated to any particular organisation. It welcomes like-minded people who wish to become members from any training agency regardless of their level of experience.
The club is keen for all of its members to meet and be willing though not compulsory for their details (name, contact tel no.) to be shared amongst the club members as part of finding a buddy to dive with whenever you need one.
The club is run to promote diving and it encourages its members to take an active part, if they so wish.
The club organises diving trips for it members in the UK and abroad for various durations of time: days, weekends, weeks, and fortnights. Along with social outings for its members and their family/partners and friends.
The club will endeavour to get the best prices it can for any of its members when organising trips or purchasing equipment and is willing to share advice on equipment, diving locations. Something that the less experienced divers find particularly useful.
As a club member you are allowed to dive with who you want, if you are more experienced you aren’t expected to dive with the less experienced divers all the time. However don’t worry if you want to join the club to gain more experience with a higher qualified diver as we can generally team you up with a more qualified buddy who is willing to do this.
The club charges a small annual membership fee of £15, this is just to help pay for the running costs, newsletters, postage, phone calls, etc.
The club has meetings every month at The Great Western (yes it’s a pub!) on a Thursday night from 20.00 hrs to discuss latest trips etc and for a social get together.
