All manuals/crew packs are provided with every course along with full diving equipment up to rescue diver. However equipment can be hired at a discounted rate if you require it for this course or higher rated courses.

Discover Scuba
This is a basic introduction to scuba diving in the confines of a swimming pool. Discover what it's like to use the equipment and experience first hand the fun you can have breathing underwater.

Discover Scuba Diving
An introduction to scuba diving starting in the confines of the pool where you will experience what it's like to breathe underwater and practice a few skills. On successful completion of these skills you will have the opportunity to go on an escorted dive in the sea and discover the wonderful underwater world.

Scuba Diver
If you have time constraints but still want a qualification that is recognised throughout the world. There is the option of being certified to Scuba Diver which has limitations on what you can dive and means you would have be supervised by professionally qualified diver at all times.
The course consists of home study along with theory sessions with an instructor. There are sessions in the swimming pool where you will introduced to scuba and learn and practice techniques that will enable you to dive safely. Once this has been completed you will have 2 dives in the sea where you will demonstrate your mastery of these skills and enjoy the wonders of the underwater world.
Duration: 2.5 - 3 days approx
Prerequisite: Minimum age 12 years, able to survival float/tread for 10 mins

Gain more and new experiences; develop your knowledge while under the direct supervision of an instructor. There are 5 dives in this course 2 of which are compulsory (Navigation & Deep) and the other 3 dives you can choose from the list in the Adventure Diver above (with the assistance of your instructor). On completion of this course you will be certified to dive to 30m with other suitable qualified divers.
Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver or similar certification from another training organisation, 12 years of age or older
Gain more and new experiences; develop your knowledge while under the direct supervision of an instructor. There are 5 dives in this course 2 of which are compulsory (Navigation & Deep) and the other 3 dives you can choose from the list in the Adventure Diver above (with the assistance of your instructor). On completion of this course you will be certified to dive to 30m with other suitable qualified divers.

Rescue Diver
The course in our opinion everyone should do. The majority of divers have found this course one of the most rewarding and memorable they have done. It will equip you with the skills to deal with many problems that can arise and train you in rescue procedures and accident management along with increasing your own confidence and make you a better buddy and diver.
Duration: 3 days
Prerequisite: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or similar certification from another training organisation, Minimum of 12 years old, 20 logged divers & Basic First Aid cert. within the last 2 years. Note: Basic First Aid training can be arranged

Additional Information
A non-refundable deposit is required for all courses. This will enable you to confirm your place on the course and receive your manuals/crewpack if applicable. Please see the additional information section in the individual course information pages for the amount of deposit required. The remainder of the fee is payable on the start date of the course. So that you do not pay unnecessarily you are advised to read and complete the Medical Statement and consult your GP if needed. Click Medical Statement form for a copy of the form.
Courses can be booked by telephone or email and will be held for 5 days to allow for your deposit to arrive.
Payment for this courses can either be made by cheque or postal order made payable to Scuba Troopers or by credit / debit card through paypal. (note, this method will incur a 2.5% additional charge due to administration costs charged by paypal). Transportation to the beach, boat or training area is not provided as part of the course fee.

If due to adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control the training cannot take place an alternative date/dates will be arranged.
Facilities in Somerset & Dorset are used during the course and we normally meet at Scuba Troopers HQ and go from there, if we are using a swimming pool for the course it takes approximately 5 minutes to reach it by car from Scuba Troopers HQ.
